Rapid Cycle Specialist

The Blue Shark team has more experience producing and distributing true nitrifying bacteria than anyone else.  That’s why Colony is the most used and trusted tank cycling product on Earth.

Colony establishes nitrification in days instead of weeks.

True Nitrifying Bacteria: The Real Thing

Only aerobic autotrophs perform effective bio-filtration of toxic ammonia and nitrite. Having a very slow growth rate, a wait of 6-8 weeks may be required to establish bio-filtration in a new aquarium (aquarium cycling).

Colony effectively speeds up this process by introducing millions of these bacteria all at once.

Patience is a virtue in the aquarium hobby, but not at the expense of an education.  Colony also provides the foundation in understanding bio-filtration for the long run so that you’re always in control of it.

Use

  • To rapidly establish bio-filtration in new aquariums
  • After medicating
  • When adding new livestock
  • Replacing media

Instructions

Maintain average water temperatures of 23-30°C (74-86°F). For best results, maintain a pH between 7.9–8.3.  Always maintain a minimum 90 ppm Total Alkalinity.  Shake bottle vigorously to mix bacteria. For average water conditions add 118 ml (4 oz) of Colony Marine per 45 L 12 gal) of dechlorinated aquarium water (tap water recommended). Dose entire system volume once. Do not overcrowd tank. Prevent ammonia and nitrite spikes by feeding fish lightly when applying Colony.  Monitor ammonia and nitrite levels and slightly increase feeding rate after 4 consecutive days of at, or near, 0 ppm ammonia and nitrite concentrations. Gradually increase to normal feeding levels.

NOTE:  Turn off or unplug UV sterilizers, protein skimmers, and ozone generators prior to and 4-5 days after each introduction of Colony Marine. Keep at room temperature and do not allow product to freeze or exceed 43°C (110°F). No water changes until after the fourth day when all bacteria has attached.

While not recommended, for fish-less cycling never use more than .5 ppm of ammonia to start.  This is to ensure nitrite levels stay well below the desired levels for a successful rapid cycle.

No refrigeration required. Keep out of reach of children.  Colony has a shelf life of 12 months.

It’s All About Speed

Phosphate removal is a game of speed. To enjoy a true zero phosphate environment, one must remove phosphate faster than it can accumulate, Only Agent Green has what it takes.

So What Exactly Happens?

Agent Green initiates an ion exchange, which capitalizes on the attraction between calcium and other like alkaline metals and phosphate to create insoluble beads. These “beads” are insoluble inert substances that are harmless to aquatic wildlife. When introduced into a high flow area of the system, Agent Green will create a smoky effect in the water instantly. The denser the smoke, the more removal that is taking place. This smokiness is the evidence that phosphate is being precipitated out of the system.

Function

  • Removes Phosphates Instantly
  • Bound Phosphates Remain Insoluble Until Removed By Filtration
  • Safe For Aquatic Wildlife Including Corals
  • Agent Green Is Safe

There are various formulations of lanthanum chloride, however some would not be practical for use with livestock.  Agent Green, however, carries no risks to freshwater nor marine life.  As in all other aspects of life, the right tool is required for the right job. Always trust Blue Shark with the safety of your livestock.

Control

No other phosphate removal method offers the variable control as Agent Green. Phosphate removal can be measured by the directed dose, Performance of any other removal system is largely unpredictable.

Instructions

Use if phosphate levels are .1 ppm or greater.  Agent Green may create a temporary cloud in aquarium. This will clear rapidly. Shake well before use. Add to high flow area directly into aquarium, preferably before mechanical filtration. In reef systems with sumps, add just before the overflow. Do not remove more than 1 ppm of phosphate per day. Do not overdose.

Caution: Not for human consumption. Keep out of reach of children. If ingested contact a poison control centre immediately.

Waste Digestion

Outbreak! offers the same bio-augmentation power utilized in industrial waste facilities to reduce organic waste to near nothing.

With the unique ability to provide hyper-productive strains of bacteria for freshwater and marine environments independently,  Outbreak! is a key part of a clean, healthy tank.

The Sharks Of The Microbe World

Most of the common problem issues associated with aquarium keeping can be traced right to the amount of organics present in the system.  Easily the most concentrated and powerful organics consuming bacteria product on the market, Outbreak! lives up to its name.

Ordinarily, other bacteria take up the function of consuming decomposing organics.  The problems with these bacteria are that they are slow and create odour as well as other unwanted waste.  Outbreak! out-competes these bacteria, replacing them with a far more efficient and clean-burning bacteria.  What’s more is that Outbreak! bacteria work aerobically or anaerobically, allowing them to work all over the aquarium.

Outbreak! is an industrial strength biological proven in many zoos, commercial aquariums, and aquaculture facilities around the globe and is one of the most important livestock you’ll add to your system.

Use

  • To drastically reduce present organics in the system
  • When odour is present
  • To keep filtration media clean
  • To turn bad feelings into good feelings

Instructions

Shake bottle vigorously to mix bacteria and enzymes. Initial Dose: Add 26 ml (1oz) of ATM Outbreak! for every 75 L (20 gal) directly into water. Repeat dose in 24 hours. Maintenance Dose: Add 26 ml (1oz) of ATM Outbreak! Freshwater for every 75 L (20 gal) directly into water weekly.  NOTE: Turn off or unplug UV sterilizers, protein skimmers,  and ozone generators prior to and 48 hours after each introduction of ATM Outbreak!. Keep at room temperature.

The Natural One

The only all natural water conditioner on the market is Paradigm.  As we move into the future of aquarium keeping, a premium is set on all natural solutions. ATM’s Paradigm is an innovation in dechlorinating, utilizing Vitamin C instead of chemicals.

Multi-Tiered Protection

Strong industrial chemicals and reducing agents can only complicate the process by affecting the performance of test kits and, in extreme cases, depleting oxygen.   The beauty of water conditioning by natural means is that it carries with it not risk, but additional benefit.

Why Natural?

Water conditioning is one of the remedial maintenance functions of any aquarium, therefore it is best to keep it as simple as possible.  Strong industrial chemicals and reducing agents can only complicate the process by affecting the performance of test kits and, in extreme cases, depleting oxygen.   The beauty of water conditioning by natural means is that it carries with it not risk, but additional benefit.

Paradigm becomes invaluable to transporting fish due to the immune system boosting powers of Vitamin C.  As fish begin to stress it is important to reinforce their defence wherever and whenever possible.  Vitamin C also acts as an appetite stimulate, helping to encourage fish to feed immediately after transit.

Use

  • All Natural Vitamin C Formula Neutralizes Chlorine And Chloramines Instantly
  • Boosts Immune System
  • Vitamin E Promotes Natural Healing
  • Replaces Slime Coat Reducing Stress
  • Immune System Boost

Instructions

Shake well. Add 1 capful (5ml) per 10 gallons (37.85 L) of water to remove chlorine and chloramine.  NOTE: Although toxic chlorine and chloramine are no longer a threat to your tank inhabitants, residual ammonia may be present. If ammonia is present in your tank at any time, discontinue feeding and add Colony for safe, natural ammonia removal. Once ammonia levels are at or near zero, resume feeding.

Offense And Defence

For emergency removal of ammonia spikes, Triage First Response addresses ammonia toxicity issues on three fronts:  Neutralization, slime coat replenishment, and ORP stability.

Neutralize Smart

When it comes to water conditioning and the use of neutralizing agents, ATM has differs from the rest of the back when it comes to philosophy.  At ATM we believe in ever keeping attention on bio-filter health, rather than the idea that problems can be solved with chemicals.  Triage contains no oxygen depleting chemicals that are found in other products that act as neutralizing agents.  Furthermore, ATM stresses the use of neutralizing agents only when they are necessary rather than frequent functions such as water changes.

Use

  • Removes Chlorine And Chloramine
  • Removes Toxic Ammonia
  • Detoxifies Nitrite
  • Provides Mucoprotein Slime Coat Support
  • Neutralizing Priority

Because ammonia is typically the compound that accumulates in bio-filtration failure, ATM Triage First Response works with a priority toward ammonia first. As ammonia disappears, ATM Triage First Response kicks into its secondary function by helping limit the toxic effects of nitrite, if present, in subsequent doses.

Instructions

Add 5ml per 38 litres (10 gallons) to effectively remove chlorine and chloramines and 1ppm of ammonia. Repeat dosage to remove more than 1ppm of ammonia. Allow at least 2 hours between do
